Welcome to Highland Village!
Highland Village is a small, locally managed, and tight-knit community of 130 homes located in
Cranberry Township
. We are located near the township’s many amenities including a golf course, two large parks (one of which has a world class public pool), and municipal library. There are plentiful local shopping and dining options. You can get to Pittsburgh in roughly 30 minutes, including to the professional sports venues (Steelers, Pirates, Penguins). There are several high-quality medical facilities within an easy drive, including UPMC Cranberry Hospital and AHN Wexford Hospital.
The planning and development of Highland Village began in 1989. The first homeowners moved into their homes in 1990. The developer chose builders who would not only accommodate the desires of the original owners, but who would also preserve the beauty of the plan. As with all homeowner associations, restrictive covenants have been imposed on each resident to assure every owner the preservation of their property value. However, in contrast to many other area developments, homeowner’s association dues are extremely modest.
The primary purpose of this website is to provide current and prospective residents with information about the Highland Village Owner’s Association (HVOA). The HVOA is governed by a Board of Directors who are current residents elected to three-year terms. There are three separate governing documents, each of which is available on this site. We encourage each prospective and current homeowner to carefully read all three. In particular, please note that most significant improvements to the exterior of your home (for example, additions, new or altered decks, fences, sheds, and so on) require Board approval before materials are purchased or work is begun. See the Master Declaration and the Rules and Regulations documents for explicit and complete guidance on these and other matters. Feel free to reach out to any of the current members of the board if you have questions or need assistance with HVOA-related matters.
